Donate to Texas Venomous Creatures

Texas Venomous Creatures is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to improving public safety and awareness of venomous and poisonous plants/wildlife across Texas. Your support helps us provide free, science‑based information that protects families, students, hikers, ranchers, and communities statewide.

Every donation strengthens our mission — and we are committed to complete transparency in how your contribution is used.

Why Your Support Matters

Texas is home to some of the most misunderstood wildlife in the country. Education saves lives and creatures. Your donation helps us:

  • Expand our free online species guides
  • Create safety resources for schools and communities
  • Provide outreach programs and public demonstrations
  • Maintain a reliable, secure educational website

Our goal is simple: reduce fear, increase knowledge, and keep all Texans safe.

Mobile Exhibit & School Training Program

Texas Venomous Creatures operates a fully equipped mobile educational exhibit designed to bring high‑impact wildlife safety training directly to schools, community centers, and public events across Texas. This traveling exhibit allows students to safely explore realistic habitat zones, learn species identification, and understand venomous wildlife behavior through immersive, hands‑on experiences.

During school visits, students participate in:

  • A structured 20‑minute instructional module covering identification of hazardous insects, marine species, snakes, and poisonous plants, preventive safety practices, and appropriate emergency response procedures.
  • Small‑group walkthroughs of the mobile exhibit, identifying hazards hidden in naturalistic displays
  • Interactive learning stations featuring safe enclosures and guided identification challenges
  • Red‑light hazard reveal sessions showing students exactly where dangers were located and how to spot them in real life

Donations directly support:

  • Fuel, insurance and transport for school visits
  • Exhibit maintenance, safety upgrades, and operational costs
  • Educational materials for teachers and students
  • Live species care, enclosure improvements, and habitat upkeep
  • Expansion of new habitat zones and interactive learning modules
  • Modest compensation for the trained mobile‑exhibit operator/lecturer, who is responsible for driving the exhibit truck, caring for the educational specimens, and delivering on‑site safety training at schools and community events

Your support helps us deliver life‑saving education to schools across Texas — especially in rural and underserved areas where wildlife encounters are more common.
